From carving bench to blind, our Mallard Floater Decoys deliver unmatched realism and field-tested reliability. We collaborated with world champion decoy carver Laurie J. McNeil, who spent months sculpting master copies from blocks of wood. Her crisp feather detail and vivid paint schemes transform these decoys from hunting tools into works of art.
After the carving was complete, we engineered a custom weighted keel featuring our Deadly Decoys® name and logo. With three attachment points, hunters enjoy flexible options for line and weight placement—whether you’re rigging for open water or flooded timber.

To ensure maximum durability, we evaluated multiple plastic blends before selecting soft EVA. This material flexes slightly in freezing conditions, resists cracking, and provides outstanding paint adhesion. As a result, these floaters remain sharp and structurally sound after years of tough hunts.
But we didn’t stop in the lab. We put our decoys head-to-head against leading brands—freezing, dropping, submerging, dragging, and tossing them in and out of our duck boat. Time after time, our Mallard Floaters matched or outperformed the competition.
During season, we hunt across every habitat the Mississippi River offers: wide-open water, flooded timber, tucked-back sloughs, and high-pressure public zones. These decoys consistently convince late-season mallards to commit, even under challenging conditions.
Since 2020, we’ve hunted over this exact design. Season after season, they’ve proven themselves—built to last and trusted where it counts.
