Texas Rig Decoy Anchors – 4 oz Non-Lead

Deadly Decoys® launched Deadly Rigs™ in 2020, introducing the first Texas-style floater rigging system built around non-lead weights. These Texas Rig Decoy Anchors are designed for speed and simplicity in the field—no fuss, no wasted motion when setting your spread. Picking up takes just three quick steps: grab the decoy by the head, locate the loop beneath the keel, clip in your carabiner, and move on to the next decoy. It’s super simple, and you stay drier than when wrapping line or dealing with loops buried in the marsh bottom.

Each rig includes a barrel swivel snap for quick and secure attachment to your duck or goose floaters.

Powder-Coated Cast Iron Weights

We selected powder-coated cast iron and embossed our logo on both sides—a rugged weight built for hunters who expect gear to last. While many rigs still rely on toxic lead, our Texas Rig Decoy Anchors offer a cleaner, non-toxic alternative without sacrificing performance.

Worried About Rust? Don’t Be.

Rust has never been a concern for us, but we knew it might be for some customers. So, we submerged our weights in a heavy saltwater bath for months before noticing any meaningful corrosion. In freshwater where we hunt, even after five seasons of hard hunting, we’ve seen virtually no rust. Cast iron will eventually show surface rust, but it causes no issues—the weights are small.

Durable, Flexible Cable

Every rig features PVC-coated stainless steel cable—flexible in freezing weather and built to endure season after season. We tested twisted lines, braided cords, rubber bungees (we’ve dodged those), and monofilament. This cable outperformed them all. No stiffening. No snapping. Just reliable performance.
